That's the good news, the bad.... both Manning and Granlund cleared waivers. I wonder if either or both get in the lineup on New Years eve? Happy they are leaving Bouchard down there.

Would have liked to have seen both of them last game. Lagesson had a good year last year and looks like a very dependable responsible defenseman according to stats.

I hope we actually get to see Lagesson play this time. Last time Manning was dressed while Russell was injured. Lagesson got 0 games, he was in the press box the whole time.

Me too - if they are calling him up, let him play. He can't do any worse than we already have. Maybe sit Nurse out a game - might light a fire under him

I like those pairings and hope that Larsson will take on the responsibility of mentoring an upcoming Swedish D and improve his game as well and not play like a 3rd pairing D which he has the past 12 months

You are underestimating him.

I think it's safe to say Welcome to the NHL permanently Kailer. Yamamoto will not be going back to the AHL, he is an NHLer now.
The farmhands have really come forth this season with Bear, Jones, Yam, and P.Russell all becoming regulars. Not sure Russ will be part of the long-term plan but pretty certain the others will be Oil fixtures for awhile unless KH trades one of the two young D.
Now the question becomes does Tipps find room for Benson and Lags in the lineup with injuries to Neal, Nygard, and K.Russell? That is why they were called up in the first place no? I'm glad they were not thrown into the fire in Calgary with no practice time with the team. However, we now don't play until the 4th so the team should get a practice in. So does Benny and/or Lags slide in or does Tipps keep the same line-up? After-all we just beat the cup champs and blew out the Flames in their rink. Change anything? Gotta play the rooks or send them back down. Very curious to see Benson, a struggling Arizona team might be an ideal time to have a look. What happened to Neal anyway, how long is he expected out, I'm not really missing him atm tbh?

What happened to Neal anyway, how long is he expected out, I'm not really missing him atm tbh? 10 points in 11 games and get this... he's a +11 for the second best plus minus on the team. Kailer has seen the last of the AHL. I compared him to a rivals small guy, gaydreau and the results are outstaning. Yamo is outplaying Gaydreau in every way imaginable... the only thing that Gaydreau has an edge in is assists and even that is by the smallest of margins. We have us a gem here in Yamo!! | GAYDREAU | YAMAMOTO | TOI/GAME | 18:44 | 15:48 | GOAL/GM | .25 | .45 | ASST/GM | .53 | .45 | PPG | .77 | .91 | Hits/GM | .02 | 2.3 | Shot% | 8.8 | 33.3 | +- | -15 | +11 | ES PTS/GM | .51 | .91 | Blocks/GM | .11 | .55 |

Bronco, so you're saying our rookie is better than the Flames' star?
Yam is a great surprise. I didn't expect this level of performance after seeing his first go around...he looked like he needed more time, development, etc. But he accomplished that so that says a lot about his commitment, focus and maturity. Can we clone him for McD's line?

Ultimately, whining themselves off the team and out of the NHL just the same, lol.

Feel free to live in the past as much as you like but Hall and Nuge are both players no matter how much you whine to the opposite. Yakupov might have benefitted from the farm system but don't forget Puljujarvi did spend some time down there. By the way I think you meant precedent.

Yak and JP were with old management. Hall and Nuge played 1st year of eligibility. That is setting a persistence no matter what your feelings are. And JP was brought back up by old management.

You were talking about how Yak and Puljujarvi were handled and referenced Hall and Nuge's development and that was by our old General Managers. We now have Holland who is in his first year with us and he offered Puljujarvi different options and they were all refused. Puljujarvi in my opinion is a whiner, Hall,Nuge and Yam are all players. Whiners will whine, players will play.
