Nice and early, broncs ahead of the game! Great job with the tunes, your GDTs (from last yr) went from wellllll .... to Awesome haha. Everybody likes good tunes, music soothes the soul and brings us together. Keep the streak alive! Wings don't score beyond their first line, we shut them down, we win. They have good goalies in Greiss and Nedj whomever they go with. Road warriors previal 4-3. GO OILERS GO!! ...thanx for GDT bronc...

What the Oil have found (hopefully) or are about to find is that teams will be more than ready to play them. Detroit is a good example. If we are not ready or expect the 2 points will be easy and in the bank, that is a recipe for a loss. Teams will be "up" for games vs the Oilers for a couple of reasons a) don't want to be embarrassed b) a feather in their cap for beating and elite team. Get on them early boys!!!

I agree, on paper, this looks like a "gimme" but there are no gimmes in this league. If oil dont bring it, they'll lose it. the elite teams have the discipline to take on these games and adjust their style so that they can impose their will and expose the cracks and weaknesses of lesser teams. this whole road trip will be a good yardstick of far far we've come and how far we need to go

They can really improve their season dramatically if this road trip is successful. I'd be happy if it was a 3 win / 2 loss trip. Anything above that I'll be drinkin' martini's for the boys. If they can win the Detroit & Boston games, the Buffalo game will be a toss up then split between St. Louis and Winnipeg. This trip can really set up the season for the Oil.

Skinner in tonight. Show your stuff! That's a smart move by Tipp. I expect the rest of the team realize this is Skinner's first game where it counts so they'll support him in every way possible. Then Thursday Koski and Skinner (or Smith) for Friday against Buffalo. Nice!

Skinner in tonight. Show your stuff! I'm kind of surprised by this. But, it makes sense to get him a game and rest Kosko before the 3in4 we have coming up over the weekend. I won't be surprised if he's sent back down after this game, if Smitty is ready to play. If not, we're going to need some starts from Skinner over the next stretch. The schedule gets pretty packed up for the next couple of weeks. I hope he's up for it, and seizes the opportunity. -It is insane that between 29&97 there is only 1 pointless game this season. 19 for 20 is about to be 21 for 22. -Nuge has 14 assists and 0 goals. This ends tonight when he scores the first of the game. -Hoping Nurse can have a lighter night tonight. He's averaging 26 minutes, and we've got a lot of games coming up. - Interesting lineup if correct, from thedailyfaceoff Drai-McD-JP Hyman-Nuge-Kass Foegele-Ryan-Yammo Perlini-McLeod-Sceviour Nurse-Barrie Keith-Ceci Koekoek-Bouchard

I think our best chance of success near and long term is to also swap hyman and Drai so teams have more than 1 uber line to think about? Again, this may work against detroit i guess, but we saw how successful it was against the Jets and other good teams??Not!

And yes, the lineup is correct. As per the Oilers website.

I don't love switching Kass and Yammo as I thought Yammo and the 3rd line were doing pretty well as it was. I guess we'll see. I'm looking at the Detroit lineup, and they look pretty bad. Our guys will be rested. Maybe tonight is the night for experimenting?!

Go Skinner! I have been rooting for him since I watched him play here in Lethbridge as a Hurricane! Let's see a solid team in front of him.
Go Oilers... 4-1

Was hoping we would get a look at Skinner. As Fog said, Detroit don't look so good on paper, but they must be doing some good things. Their record ain't so bad. Will be interesting to see if Stuart can hold down the fort.

I must admit that I haven't watched a single minute of a Detroit game in quite some time. Lol

Three Lethbians... not sure how I feel about the whole group thing... it works well in hockey when the group works as a team and keeps things above the waist to TAKE it to the opponent. Let's face it, the goalie usually has the bottom covered.
