There is a learning curve, and sometimes it comes to luck. Some of us have both won in a given year and placed last in another given year, so none of us is in a place to laugh unless it involves laughing at ourselves at the same time.
Welcome aboard!!!
Would you guys be game for both the standard league and the keeper league?
Standard is everyone drafts with a completely clean slate each year. Drafting order is random in the first round, but it goes in a snaking order after that. Whoever's lucky enough to draft Connor first overall won't be able to draft again until the 24th pick (last in the second round). Whoever drafts last in the first round also drafts 13th (first in the second round). And so on. There isn't necessarily an inherent advantage.
Keeper, you'll inherit a roster, and decide which three players you want to keep (Happy got Connor when this first started) in advance of the draft, and then you draft the rest.
NOTE: I'd also like to add, it's up to you how much time you want to put in it. The minimum only requires that you set your rosters for games at the start of the week, and that usually only takes 5 minutes or even less.
With new managers joining again I'd be open to starting with a clean slate and a fresh new beginnings draft with all players included. Basically re-setting the Keeper league as we'd all be giving up our 3 keepers. The thought has crossed my mind before but it would obviously be up to the group. I have no prob keeping Connor at all lol. Bedard this year, that Misa kid next year. Some kids coming soon that are gonna make big names for themselves in the NHL. Can't wait to add them to my team.
