Damn impressed with this team's moves in last few years. Although the season was a bit bumpy, not due to Tkachuck but more because of the much hailed Barkov.
Tkachuck drives this team right now. I'm so impressed with this teams moves and the acquisition of my favorite player, that I'm split between the Panthers and the Flames as a fan.
Montador is a player that has stepped up with the outgoing Weegar. I'm not as familiar with the names yet on the Panthers as I am with the Flames but will soon do so. There are a few not well known names that are thriving right now. Their goaltender is doing very well too.
Bennett, I've always been a Bennett fan despite other devalueing the player. I see what he brings when given a real opportunity with talent around him. He's not one to shy away from a physical game, and is first there to defend a teammate. Love the player.
If the Panther's don't win the cup this year, I think they will definitely win it in the next 3 years.

Tkachucks swagger rubbing off on teammates. Very confident group right now. Gudas after the OT goal scored.

4th OT, Matthew Tkachuck assisted by Sam Bennett. Clutch with a capital C. I'm just curious how long the Panthers will go without rewarding the natural leader Tkachuck with the "C".

After a long game Thursday night and into Friday, the Panthers need to recoup quickly. Look at the next game as all the pressure is on the Hurricanes, which isn't a streach. Hurricanes can ill afford to go down 2 games in their own barn only to go down to Florida, that would be huge pressure. Tkachuck's immediate reaction after the goal was a very very quick raise of his arms and waved the team to get off the ice to rest. A true leader, an elite player, a clutch performer worth every penny he's paid. The Calgary Flames on retrospect didn't get enough in return for such a player, if there were more teams bidding for him, who knows. Every bit the player that Drai is, I know some Oil fans thought I was crazy saying I wouldn't trade a 1 for 1 deal for Drai, but it looks less crazy today than it did then.

Loving this team more and more by the day. The team, albeit captained by Barkov, no one really believes that.... it's Tkachuck by a country mile. The team instead of bailing on their player have endeared themselves to his sandpaper style. The team has taken Tkachuck's identity and made it their own. I love the swagger and confidence. The defense, which was questionable going in, is crazy good now. Tkachuck leads the playoffs in plus/minus. Bobrovsky of course deserves a lot of credit, but the Panthers too have been outshot many times by the opposition with low chance shots. The Panther's make pressure and capitalize at key times, especially Tkachuck.

the outrage from cat players and fans when they suddenly dont get their way because they are now playing another Bettman pet team is hilarious and sad at same time. I felt same when avs players and fans cried all the way to the exits, moaning about officials. These pampered U.S. teams who "always" get the ref calls when playing against cdn teams, simply cant handle it when a few calls go against them, but are first in-line to send out the crying baby emojis when cdn teams Huberdeau about officiating??! It looks great on them and I Can't wait for when Maurice butters up the refs and the first calls start going against Vegas and their fanbase starts to rage as well?? It's the only entertaining thing about the playoffs now TBH!

Turtle is a real difference maker. What a Duttering idiot.
Leadership Alt? Where's he leading them?!?
After this, why would anybody on the Kittens follow him? He single-handedly tanked their Cup chances by playing 34 minutes and taking 36 minutes in penalties.
So, he's not going to be a Panther for 3 more years, because who the Dutter would waste 30mil on this trash....where does he burn the next bridge?! I'll put him on the Theo Fleury road to obscurity and say the Rangers are next.
Write it down. Take a picture. Send it to your mom. I don't care.
He's a loser and if you follow his lead, you're also a loser.

He's changed the culture in the Panther dressing room from a loser team, to one of a winning team when it matters. There is word for it clutch. I know fans of the ice capades like hockey to be one of pond hockey, but there is a reason why the Stanley Cup is the hardest trophy to win in all of sport. The reason being, players like Tkachuck making hard clean hits. Something a true NHL'r like Jack Eichel will admit it was a clean hit. If he had gotten up right away, there would have been no penalty. Please whatever you guys do, don't save me any tickets to the next ice capades. I like watching hard hitting NHL games where you need skill but you also need to have skin like leather.

I’ve posted a few times about a “lucky bounce” here or there completely changes the narrative and that’s been amplified by the cats and tkachuk. Making playoffs was out of their hands but pens shat the bed. Down and out against bruins, 1 lucky bounce and all of a sudden, they get on a roll and Bob suddenly worth his bloated contract. If any of these things don’t happen MT’s playoff ot heroics don’t happen and the daggers come out for him and his contract🤷♂️? As for the penalty mins and playoff hockey?? He’s lucky 10min misconducts don’t seem to have any consequences whatsoever and that’s why the refs hand them out like candy! It makes it look like they’re doing something when they’re not and they have zero effect especially at the end of games because they don’t carry over and don’t accumulate. One thing MT has done is perfect the art of the after whistle hide behind the ref shenanigans and he basically gets off Scott free- misconducts or not. I’m just not sure it does much in the way of intimidate opposition or embolden his team mates? I think everyone just get weary of it and it eventually becomes a negative? As long as you’re winning, teammates tolerate it but when the losses pile up, I think teammates will get pissed at him pretty quick?

As long as you’re winning, teammates tolerate it but when the losses pile up, I think teammates will get pissed at him pretty quick? Panthers, if his teammates get pissed off at Tkachuck, find out who they are and trade them away quickly! They are losers, they don't like it when things get tough, they want the easy way out. Lose them, trust me. That's my one point. Tkachuck's contract, I'm sure the Panther's have no problem paying Matthew this year for the amount signed, and will soon learn they under paid the player. It's a good deal. While the rest of the team struggled this year, Tkachuck led in every catagory dragging the team for an opportunity to make the playoffs. If not for Tkachuck the team would be well out of the playoffs and would not need Pittsburgh's assistance to make it in, because they wouldn't even be close enough to have that chance. People need to understand there is a game within the game, there are times to take penalties. If you don't like penalties, I suggest you watch marathons or something. However, if your team feels that they are being disrespected, or they're not playing up to their capabilities. I want my leader to step up and stir the pot to get my team involved. He's doing it in every way possible to get his team going. 10 minute misconducts whent he score is basically out of reach.... who cares? I don't. Just means the ref is trying to settle the game down and get someone off the ice. Let's get rid of the princess' in this league, and it will be an entertaining league to watch. The woke politics have no place in hockey kicking out Don Cherry and reducing hockey to ballerina's with ice skates. I want to see screaming an emotion from my players, I want my team to be full of players that hate losing more than anything.

Pre-slips his mitts and tries to jump Kass. Gets his pimply Fogolin2 face kicked by Nurse. Has he won a square fight? Find me that video. Link it here. He makes the Huberdonut deal look like a bargain. At least Donut plays more minutes than he sits in the box.

Ah, he can fight if he wishes, and does more than any other player with the amount of points he has. That's not his game though, it's to be a pest a scorer, hard checker, win the battles along the boards, setup plays. All of which he does very very well. The rest of it is just tears from opposing fans. Just play your game Matthew, you're further along getting to the Stanley Cup than those thought they should have won it already. You will take the Cup, if not this year, I think in the next 3. Keep your swagger because it pisses people off. LOL
