didn't mean anything, but it was a smile during a very dark time

I couldn’t find a video, but one favourite was during the 1984 reunion, the fans giving Peter Pocklington a standing ovation. I thought this really showed how classy Oiler fans can be. Many reasons to go a different direction, but they took the high road.

I have to go with our first cup. A close 2nd would be Glen Anderson's goal to put us up 3-1 near the end of the 3rd period for our cup in 1987

I wasn't actually watching tv but my friend texted me when we won the draft lottery to get Mcdavid. He's a Canucks fan so it was so much sweeter. I was at the gym working out and literally yelled out when we won the draft lottery and could get McD. I got a few odd looks but I really did't care.

Right now we're hunkered down out here in Vancouver. I get my fix of hockey by watching the game I recorded against the Flameouts when the goalies got into it and we smoked them 9-3. Always end up in a great mood after that then go get my martini and feet awesome.

As a 25 year old who only watched playoffs until they mysteriously stopped happening after 2006 (I’ve been full time since 2011).
The whole 06 run. Every last second and all the memories being in the city as a kid.
Sam Gagners 8 point night
Ben Scrivens 49 save shutout
Taylor halls opening hat trick along with smid for a 4 goal lead in 5 mins to open against the canucks.
Ryan Nugent Hopkins waived off tying goal against LA. This was in the dying seconds of a game only for Yakupov to rescore the tying goal in the dying seconds of a game. Gagner would get the game winner in OT as Doughty broke his stick and Quick stormed off the ice. Priceless.
Funny one would be the Florida Panthers player in like 2014 getting his stick jammed in Nuges visor and not getting a penalty for it.
Mcdavid Dangling the entire Blue jackets team returning from injury. This was also a pvred game for me off the heels of my first lead role in a play semi professionally. One hell of a night!
Kassian going superman mode against the Sharks in the 17 playoffs and finally sticking it back to the “heavy” californian teams that beat us physically for years.
David Deharnais scoringg in OT against the sharks in the playoffs for the single and only oilers playoff OT goal I’ve seen in HD. I verbally stated that he would be the OT hero when the panel was taking their picks. He looked good all game.
2-0ing the Ducks in their home rink just before 2 instances of whack goalie interference would cost us the series.
Draisaitl playoff hat trick to stick it to the cheating ducks
Goalie fight between Talbot and Smith
Countless Mcdavid and Draisaitl magic the past several years especially against Toronto and Morgan Rielly.

didn't mean anything, but it was a smile during a very dark time I don't know if you recall but I was calling for trading him immediatly after that game as I really did not think his value would be higher. In hindsight now....I kind of miss the guy.

Didn’t know where to post this so here it is. I was just watching game 7, 1997, Oilers/Stars. What an exciting game. Todd Marchant had some serious wheels that I think would still be in the top 10 in the NHL today.
Gotta love it when Marchant blows by Hatcher in OT for the series winner.
