Yup, an unhealthy undying dislike of the Dallas Stars. I assume by now that it will never go away. Thinking about the last few games before the dance starts, and I'm a bit concerned about our scoring. Yammo-Hyman-JP have all gone cold again at the same time, with Kane this time as well. Nuge has popped a few recently so that helps, but it sure would be good to see some of the other top wingers heating up at the right time. Small detail, but I'll be keeping an eye on it. LET'S GO OILERS!! You worry too much fogs.......whilst you are correct to mention that Yammo-Hyman-JP are not scoring goals.......they are as I am sure you will have noticed, still contributing in other ways......eg JP shielding the goalies view the other night when Ceci scored from way out, and Hyman's work rate as I have mentioned before on here is second to none.......similar with Yammo, him and the goal posts also are close buddies ..........it is just a matter of time before one, two or all three register on the goals scored sheet. I sympathise with your thoughts though, there is always room for improvement as Foegele has shown in recent games. Personally, as long as we are consistently picking up wins/points I don't care who eventually puts the puck in the opposition net. Crikey........even Kris Russell scored verses Vegas ......first goal in 3 years other than the one he was trying to bang against the backboards but ended up in the back of our net!

It's been good to see the Oilers win some games with different guys scoring goals. Having greater depth through the roster has been evident in some of these wins. It's also nice to see different types of wins. The one I am still waiting for though is a 10 goal game where they bring a killer instinct and every line gets on the score sheet 😁

Hyman now 24 goals when his previous best was 21, yet you still seem to doubt him? . Even if he didn't score at all, he still offers a lot to our team, and well worth his contract, yet this is the second time this season you have pointed a critical finger in his direction. I don't understand why you seem to be impatient with him, and with other players also.

JP 1st goal in 7 games. 2nd in 17 games since returning Hyman 1st goal in 8 games (he's got 25 btw, but you got this) Kane 1st goal in 8 games Yammo hasn't scored in the last 12 Read the bolded part again, and go ahead and argue with it. Go ahead. I won't answer.

Hyman in an integral part of our team, and JP and Yammo maybe getting there...........if you can't handle people disagreeing or questioning you, that is your problem, no one else's.

There are two great scenarios being that Pulj and Yammo are streaky and can go cold.
1) Makes a bridge deal more plausible. 2) They will make less due to the bridge and due to mediocre/avg at best offense for top 6 players.
Lots of fans on other boards want to lock up JP for 4-5 mil. I say that's too much. That's great that Pulj finally got a goal last night, he went to the net and got rewarded. However it was not a skill goal, Jesse has been snake bitten many will say but the NHL is a results based business so based on performance both JP and Yammo should get significant raises from the 1.125 mil contracts but not bet the farm on them quite yet.

Agreed, and like I just wrote in another post, they are getting there, but are not there yet. Jury still out, small raise probably, until all the cards are on the table so to speak.......especially with players possibly lurking in the background to possibly eventually take their places.....Holloway, Bourgault, Savoie, and what happened to Lavoie? KH has the upper hand with these two guys in question, he needs to use it one way or the other.

Hollaway, Lavoie, Marody (who is back now), Esposito (who is back now), Broberg, Sammy, Neimo and a couple others. They signed Philp and Savoie to AHL deals to help out. Bottom line, they've been missing alot of players, good ones. In the Arm chair thread predicted Yammo would get almost triple this year's salary, Pulj more than double his salary in bridge deals. Those are significant raises and they would be well rewarded for their "overall" play. Will Pulj get better or will he fade like Magnus Paarjarvi? Decent comparable there. Pulj has more upside but needs to finish better.

Duncan Keith was a perfect +5 in +/- last game against Dallas. With a system that is being followed by his teammates, Keith has been very good.

While the boys and girls are all getting along... can watch this over and over again. Smith was down and out by all counts but his will to win and this being one of his last chances he is defying father time and who knows the potential to get it done is there. Roli was not exactly a young pup when we had our last big run. Fingers crossed.
