This is not about Tipp hate. The whole situation speaks to deeper problems with the team. Everybody boasted of team unity and brotherhood at the start of the year, easy to do when you're winning but now in the face of adversity we've got a coach publicly calling out a player, the player publicly calling out his team and the team put in the middle with nobody wanting to be publicly shamed by coach or mate. It all adds up to really bad news for Oilers fans. Time for Holland to step up and show some leadership. I partially agree. Time for management & team leadership (Nurse/Connnor/Keith/Draisaitl etc.) to Step up I dont hate Tipp Yuke, i've net met the guy or know anything about him. What i do hate is whenever someone throws up a POV, people immediately think you're either black or white, left or right, for us, against us. I gave my reasons for why i dont think tipp is the right coach for this squad and I'd be happy to listen to you or anyone else put across their POV as to why he is? The best people have come up with so far is that KH dealt him a bum hand and whereas as I'm beginning to definitely agree with that point as well, it doesn't really point to any unique skill set that Tipp has that makes him a good coach for us. FWIW, I've maintained this stance for most of his tenure, through good phases and bad, as i never really saw it as a good hire from beginning. Now you may take that comment as "proof" I hated the guy from the beginning, but I looked at the hire objectively and didn't really see the logic? I kept an open mind but in the end, his tenure slowly started going downhill after about 6 months and has continued to the point that it now feels like its falling off a cliff and the stress is obviously getting to him as i dont think the Tipp of 2 years ago would have thrown anyone under the bus NVM his only healthy goalie and a raw rookie D (I made the comment that the one thing going for him was the respect he shows but he has now lost that). Anyway, my only emotion in all this is that I'm a passionate fan (from the word fanatic) of the oilers and have been since before the 1st cup. I want Tipp gone NOW because IMO, not only can the playoffs be rescued, but with the right leadership and direction on the bench, I think this team could do some real damage and go quite far but if we wait another month or 2 or until season's end, then this season will be yet another year WASTED of having 2 generational talents on the squad and going nowhere with them. We went through a lot of lean years to get those 2 guys and some teams turn that into SC's others waste it. I want our outcome in a few ears to be pittsburgh's not Buffalo's..That's what I'm passionate about!

No coaching change. That is the smartest thing that came out of the presser. Until a player can say, I covered my man correctly, I collected every pass that hit my tape. My passes were on target. I came to play when the first puck was dropped etc. a coaches change is not warranted or deserved.

What if we keep losing now and drop further out of playoff contention? Do you think its still smart to wait till the end of the season? What if we do manage to scrape into playoffs but lose in 1st round again? Do we keep Tipp and just lower our expectations? I've been accused of hating Tipp, but the only thing i hate is this seemingly endless cycle of crap-then mediocrity-then crap, that this org has been churning out for well over a decade. I see other Orgs who were way worse than us and then within a few short years far out perform us. We have arguably 2 franchise players and so far done nothing with them, while other teams build cup winners when starting with less! I will agree on this, I certainly believe that the problems run way deeper than just Tipp and if he is eventually made the scapegoat, I honestly hope he gets another crack at an NHL job because I used to think that Eakins was so bad that he'd never get another crack and yet he seems to be doing just fine with ducks! Something ain't right and it sure as heck aint just the water!

I'm not panicking, a lot is learned by a few very important players if we just miss out, just get in or take 2nd in our division. I actually like what our future holds, Holloway, Broberg, Skinner, Mcleod, Sammy XB, Marcus N. Plus, Nuge, Connor, Drai, Nurse, Hyman, JP, Yammy, Bouchard Do NOT panic

Gretzky went to TNT on a massive contract so I don't see him coming back to the Oilers for a while. Not that id rule out a reunion some day.

McLeod and Kassian higher up the line than RNH, JP and Hyman. Please Holland, it's time to put an end to this.
