What are the chances you can re-create this feature? All Activity (as you know it just updates members - while online- of any new posts made). One of my fave features from the old board, probably my fave actually. Might be stretching though to get that feature back... what say you mods, possible?

One of my fave features from the old board, probably my fave actually. Might be stretching though to get that feature back... what say you mods, possible? That should already be in effect HappyHappy. When somebody replies to any of your posts, you should see a bubble up at the top menu item PROFILE with a number in it, that would contain the number of replies to any of your posts, and any likes or things of that nature in it. Any threads with new posts in them will have a little orange bubble with the word NEW inside it to the left of the thread name. And all forums that have new posts or threads in them will show a hockey puck with a NEW tag in the center of it. If you are not getting any of that, can you let us know? Thanks.

Maybe you could detail exactly what you are looking for, and I can see what I can do to make it happen. Thanks!

I think H2 is referring to the feature that was at the bottom of the old OMB - one could see which members were signed in to the main board, as well as the specific thread you were viewing, among other features.
It was kind of neat, especially if you were in a conversation.

Yes the old feature "all activity" was at the top and bottom of the page, and while using it would auto-refresh and instantly inform of any new posts. I pretty much exclusively used it all the time. Never miss a post. I do get the orange bubbles here when manually refreshing the page. Also, when there is a new comment here and we click on the thread it does not go to the new comment but to the beginning of the thread, not sure if that can be tweaked. Just throwing out ideas, I'm fine with whatever. (:

Never mind the "all activity" suggestion. After having some time this morn and navigating through this forum playing around I like the orange bubbles "new". Works great.

OK So as far as I can see, there is no widget or plugin that allows for thread activity like it does for forums and boards, but I will keep searching.

The only problem is that proboards does not use this feature in it's actual threads, only for the forums and subsequent boards, not for individual threads. but I will definitely keep looking for a way to do that.

In the meantime, if you click on "Recent Posts" in the Forum Information & Statisitcs window, it will generate a list showing all the replies made to every forum thread in a thread like list, that could be an easy way find out if your thread or post has been replied to. Hopefully that helps until we can find a solution for what you are looking for.

OK HappyHappy I've done some research on adding that information to the actual threads. Here's what I got from proboards: They do not have support nor do they allow for showing activity and statistics for any threads including total members viewing a thread, members who have replied to your posts, or members that have replied to a specific thread. In fact it has been requested from them by other forums and they have rejected it. The gist of it I am getting is that they view this as an invasion of privacy... which to me makes zero sense since they allow the same information to be posted (members online, who's online, been online, member names in replies etc) right on the main forum page. support.proboards.com/thread/323242/request-current-users-viewing-threadBut, unfortunately it looks like we will not be able to add that very useful information in our actual threads. I agree with you, it should be there. It's possible we can do it through css, I will start learning about CSS programming to see how and if it can be done, but it will take some time to learn it all. We COULD look for a new forum to move to, but that would be an incredible amount of work lol!

Meh, like said the bubble alerts work fine, appreciate the effort though. How about a ticker? Hahaha, kidding.

haha now you are asking a lot lol! I did manage to put in a Latest shoutbox post preview at the top of the board, unfortunately though it doesn't update in real time, only when the page is loaded. I honestly don't like it there, but we will see how things go.

can we get more emoticons to choose from? I don't use them that much but they are handy once in a while.

We've added the option for each member to have a set of up to 25 smileys that are all their own. The explanation of how to set up and access them will be provided in the "Site additions and changes" section. I've provided a link below. This is an example smiley that I've added to my personal smiley database: and an animated one

You know that could be a good name for you, "Cheers Admin" or something of that nature.

If you also click on the smiley icon in your post window, scroll to the bottom and click "View All Smileys", a new window will pop up with another 48 more animated smiley that I've added to the system via a plugin. So now you can use the standard ones, the extended animated ones I've added, or your own that you add to your profile. Here is one of the ones I added to the default set:
