Curious how y'all seen the first round playing out in the playoffs. I had it:
Edm>LA Cal>Dal Col>Nash Minn>St.L
Flo>Wash Tbay>Tor Car>Bos NYR>Pitts
I never went with any surprises really and other then having Tampa over Toronto I picked all home teams to win their series. Going into today and a bunch of game 4s I'm sitting at 50/50 with my guesses but there is only 1 I really care about being correct on. GOG!

We just cannot overstate the importance of tonights game. A win puts us at 3-1 with a stranglehold on the series and 1 win from moving on. A loss puts the two teams even, erases any outscoring we've done in the last couple games, and makes it a best of 3 series giving LA momentum.
The Oilers had better be prepared.

I remember TM talking about our team like this, it didn't make much difference. Maybe this time it will but young players are less and less receptive to hard nosed coaching. Durzi played good, Danault did so there's positives, can't just say the whole team sucks.

How would we get rid of Keith? He can't be traded, waived etc without his consent, which won't happen, and why would he retire and forfeit $5.5 Million? $5.5m is his cap hit but his actual pay is only $1.5m . He's made about $73m in his career. He's 38yo, and was drafted 20(!!) years ago. Retirment is a reasonable possibility. There is also the fact that Chicago gets whacked with a $5.5 million cap recapture penalty next year and $2 million the year after if he retires because he had a front loaded contract. He will not do that to them and I would almost guarantee that was part of the stipulation of moving him that he won't. He is not retiring until this contract is over.

It seems like the Hawks organization is a bunch of A-holes.

I hated (loved!) the Leafs matchup with the Lightning. Pretty close to matching up offensively, but nothing the Leafs have matches Hedman and Vasilesky. They're getting throttled and I'm quite enjoying it.

This game kinda went how I thought it was going to. I knew the Kings were going to come hard. We looked like we had been partying the few nights prior and were hungover.

I thought there were a few points in the game where we were pushing and, if we had popped one, could have grabbed the momentum and tied it up. Just couldn't crack the code on Quick. He was really good, and a bit lucky a couple times. Thought Smith was our best and Bouch was our worst, but there was too many Oilers waiting for something to happen.

Bouch sucked!

The only take away from last nights 4-0 loss is a wake up call. If the Oilers crap the bed and end up lossing this series, they will have this game to eat at themselves all summer. There was no excuse for the poor effort displayed.

Have a feeling we will lose this game so the opposite can happen.... Yes, superstitions. Glad Ryan is back, Yammo on 1st line, Pulj moved to the 3rd line. More is needed from him.
Whenever Keith has a bad game usually he bounced back. And the pair with him and Bouch bounces back.
Enough with the fluff, as pillotte pointed out time to put the big pants on.
