I can't say I know exactly what he is dealing with but can relate at some level. For about a decade I was quite successful managing various projects for high end homes and dealt with anxiety and depression through it. I had developed an expectation of delivering far above the standard and often at an unreasonable level. For years I was lucky if I had 1 meal a day and some days didn't eat at all. I was driven to succeed and deliver for others and did not take care of myself. One day at about 5 am I was awoken to my house being on fire and shortly after I fell apart. I ended up walking away from my job at the displeasure of several people and heavy criticism. This is one of best things I could have done. I am now working in a different field, less pressure, more appreciated, I get to go home for lunch and have supper with my family, plus I make more money. Sometimes walking away is the right call.

A good listen, didn't go to the end but it was good to hear him say great things about Chauk in Bako, means our prospects are in good hands! He threw some shade at Todd Mac for dropping him just before a hometown game in TO, thats the first bad thing ive heard against MacL and maybe speaks to the point at which MacL maybe lost the room (not necessarily the specific act but the timeframe)? He puts a very human face to the struggles some of the pros go through in the NHL! I Wish Koek a happy, peaceful and successful retirement!!

Too bad, I liked both of those guys and like you said, "Wish them well".
