Wondering what the mechanic shops are charging in different parts of Alberta. I have a shop here in GP that was relatively cheap at $144/hr. Hearing the dealers are over $180/ hr. What are they elsewhere?

we are between 80 and 120 down here in Lethbridge Similar here I think. Last time I had my truck in which was not too long ago I believe I paid 100/hr. On another note, yesterday I had to drop 1500 bones on a new hot water tank, old one was from 1998. That hurt. Oh the joys of buying older homes.

Isn't that what any decent mod would do?

Biggest trick to a water heater install, dont turn on the heating element until full of water. Man are we getting ripped up here in GP. No plans on retiring here. Next year house will be going up for sale in spring. Thinking of moving to the Red Deer area. Maybe hook up with a few of you boys for a Oil/Flame game.

Yeah I'm out of my element when it comes to installing one of them, I never have. I just let the service guy do his thing while I hung lights and decorations outside and stayed out of his way. He did a great job as far as I can tell and let me tell ya it is one sharp looking tank, lol. Nothing's cheap anymore. Sounds like the auto repair shops are extra expensive up there though in GP wow. I'm in the Hat and can honestly say I haven't been in Red Deer too much so can't tell ya much about it. What I do know is if you are into the outdoors it's a great area to live with the mountains not too far away and plenty of rivers and lakes around. No plans of retirement here either my friend, gonna bop till I drop. Maybe some of us could hook up for a game when we're older and grayer, that would be pretty neat for sure. Good Luck with your future move, hope it all goes smoothly, exciting!
