Haha yeah Vegas clawed back, the dreaded 3-0 lead for Boston vanished fast but they ended up scoring late for a 5-4 regulation win woohoo! You’re Kuzmenkoing lucky! Lol

6-1-1 our last 8. 2-1-1 on that road trip. Going home 6 points up on the Kings and Knights, we have indeed taken advantage of our games in hand. Great stuff. Time to NOT relax, and start dialing it all in. Practice. Not sure how the standings will unfold just want to keep on winning. The more points the better. Stay healthy boyzzz!!

6-12-0 gets us to 95 pts and likely a playoff position. There is no doubt. I know we will finish well above 95pts. Curious, who would u guys like to face, first. Also, is Nashville going to be a Cinderella story, I'm starting to wonder. Hard not to notice the run they are on. Keeping hope the Knights crumble and another team steps up for a WC spot. Wild losing Ek for a few games minimum hurts them bigtime, he's becoming one of my fave players. Anyway, Go Blues, Go Kraken, they aren't out of it yet though either. The Champs, Chumps must fall from glory! ,

I wouldn't mind seeing the Blues take 8th spot. I can appreciate your sentiments about the Kraken and still have a soft spot for Eberle, but the other side of me thinks that expansion teams should suck for a while. At this point, I would rather Calgary make it than Vegas... the shames would flame out in the first round anyway.

I got a soft spot for Ebs too and actually like what the Kraken have going. Larsson, KY jelly, former Oil.. like them too. The entire team plays hard as a whole committee and compete hard every night. LOL on expansion teams sucking for awhile, after Vegas I fully understand haha. If the Flames actually got into the playoffs, it would be hard to count them out first round as they would have to go on quite the streak to make it in, and once the playoffs starts who knows what can happen, especially with a tender like Markstrom playing the way he can. But it won't happen. Here's hoping the Blues or Wild can catch the Knights. I love seeing them lose and hope they keep it up! Dare to dream...

As of this morn we sit somewhat comfortably in the Pacific with 86 pts, 5 up on the Kings and 7 on on the Knights, with 2 games in hand on both clubs. www.nhl.com/standings/2024-03-19/wildcard1st round in the playoffs home ice advantage should be ours and right now it's looking like we'll face either L.A. or Vegas. Things can obviously change with 12-16 games remaining for teams. I really don't care either way but if I was to choose I'd lean towards us playing L.A., leaving the Knights and Canucks to duke it out between themselves. Feeling pretty good about our team, I think it's more likely we can catch Van rather then L.A. or Vegas catching us as far as the standings go. Knights lost again last night and have been a .500 team since Jan 1. Gotta love it, mwahaha.

Had we won just one of them we would right now be 4 points behind them with 3 games in hand. Had we won them both we would be tied with them right now with 3 games in hand. They have been playing lights out ALL season long. We just started warming up in December and since January 1 our record is considerably better than theirs. They aren't the juggernaut they think they are, it's them that should be worried about us. I hope.

It's starting to look more and more like the top pacific team will get LV in round 1 and FWIW, as much as the kings scare me a bit, i'd rather face them than vegas in round 1. Whoever meets vegas in round 1 is going to get pummelled and even if they survive, will be considerably weakened by the exchange going into round 2? I'd rather see Van (or vegas for that matter) in rnd 2 after they beat the snot out of eachother. In the end though, the winner of pacific will still have to go through the winner of the central and that is going to be one helluva contest!

We were the better team, we had a lead in EVERY game. We are better and more disciplined... we WILL beat them.

Vegas has a tougher schedule than the Blues and will need to play well to hold onto the 8th spot. I am hoping that the Blues sneak in and Vegas falls on their face.

10-3-2 in March. Not too shabby at all! After Vancouver beats Anaheim today they'll be at 100pts with 8 games remaining in April. They have not been great of late and struggle against good teams. I say they go 4-4 in April and finish with 108pts. Sooo, all we'd have to do, is go 7-2-1 in our 10 final games, including a regulation win vs the Canucks, and we'd finish with 109pts. 1st in the Pacific has become a real possibility. Gonna be an exciting stretch run. Most importantly though - stay healthy boys and save enough for the playoffs!

Except for positioning, I think that the top 8 are set. I was really hoping that Vegas would choke but I guess a first round exit will have to do.

It would only be a tiny bit of revenge if that's how it comes to pass but psychologically i'd think it'd be a huge boost to slay the knights in round 1 and maybe set us up for a really good run!

Van 1-1-0, and us 1-1-1 since this post. Keeping the dream alive lol. They need to go 3-3-0 and we need 6-1-0 and the division is ours haha!

Good weekend for the Oilers, only 3 pts to lead the division with a game in hand and a head to head. The Oilers control their own destiny. May as well just win the last 6 games.

That's what Neufab meant when he said "head to head". Getting close to playoff time and we expect better from our "OH Fearless Leader"!
