Who do you love/like and who do you hate/dislike? Top 5. I only have one team I love, the other four I just like. I hate all five teams on my hate/dislike list. The Good
1- Edmonton- my only love. 2- Detroit- Yzerman my fav (non-Oiler) player as a youngster and my fav GM now. Fav original 6 team. That emblem. Dad dated Osgood's mom, ha. 3- Montreal- 2nd best Canadian franchise. The history. 4- Boston- so many good players and teams through the years, the list goes on and on. 5- New Jersey- Brodeur. Stevens. Those were the days. Jack Hughes now. The Bad1- Calgary- self explanatory. 2- Vegas- stood in the way of us and Stanley recently. Cheaters (Stone). 3- Dallas- stood in the way of us and Stanley several times. 4- Carolina- 2006. 5- Vancouver- used to be a bunch of goons, those players are all gone. Now I just can't stand their fans, lol. Note - Also hate all California teams, ha! Also realize Yzerman was a cheater too (Kucherov) with Tampa so I'm a hypocrite, ha!That was fun. A lot of memories went through my head as I created this thread. So many amazing players and teams throughout the days. I love hockey.

Great topic!!!
♥️ 1. Edmonton. I used to be a Toronto (McDonald, Salming Sittler)fan as a kid until I saw this 17 year old kid wearing 99 play live in Northlands. Sellouts during the DOD. 2. Philly. I am a Tortarella fan. Team shouldn’t be competitive, but they are. I used to like Clarke years ago as a player. 3. Buffalo. Sympathy. As a decade of darkness survivor, I wish their fans well. 4. San Jose. I like Logan Couture. Would like to see him win a cup (with the Oilers though). 5. Calgary. They amuse me. After years of talking smack it’s nice to absolutely pity them. They also make the Oilers play better (BOA).
🤬 1. Vancouver - Their fans. So bandwagon. Go riot and burn down the rest of your city when you lose this year. Love the city, though. 2. Florida and Tampa - I think these teams get an unfair advantage as a great place to live which attracts top players at a discount. 4. Winnipeg - Hellybuck. bronco73 stole a series from us. 5. Toronto and Montreal - hate their fans in our building. Biased media, centre of the hockey world stuff.

Oilers only hockey team I love- I do have favs in other sports though. I have a soft spot for NYR mainly because of Slats and some ex-oilers squeezed 1 more cup with them. After that, I also have sympathy for Sabres and think they should be on the cusp but somehow keep slipping up🤷♂️. My hate list is a long one LOL 😂 Tops are Leafs and Habs as I have no affiliation to original 6 or other cdn teams personally. Van are next cos of their fans and they may even start to compete with leafs if they keep their stupidity up🤣. I do love the city though lived there 6 years, but don’t generally like the people there even though I do have some lifelong friends there. The rest are various American teams who seem to have our number and or get favoured by the league. You’ll notice flames don’t make my top 5. There was a time they were undisputed most hated team, but now the rivalry is meh 😑. But all these things can change, that’s the beauty of sports

Edmonton New York Rangers (Sather & 93-94 cup of ex Oilers) Ottawa Detroit Teams I hate. Calgary Dallas Canucks Leafs Habs Ducks Carolina There are some more I don't like, but the above I pretty much hate. The funny thing is that they have players that I did like even though they played for other teams.

Love
Florida - like the moves they've been making in regards to players, they show heart and aren't afraid of physical game despite also being a very talented team. Loads of leadership. All-Star Tkachuk, need I say more? Calgary - I've always loved the underdog, Calgary Flames are to me like a child playing in the middle of the street. You love them but they can't stop shooting themselves in the foot. Pittsburgh - Always admired Sid the Kids professionalism, and is likely the most unselfish player in the league. Malkin is also incredibly talented with his size reach and ability to make the right play. Colorado - Best GM run team in the league, professional scouts that just seem to find the diamond in the rough each and every year. Edmonton - Crazy but true, love might be a strong term for my like of the Oil. I like the rebound and character of the team one minute, question it in the next breath with the start to the season. Is it the making of a champion? Stay tuned.
Hate
Vancouver - The fans, can't stand them. Sore winners and sore losers. Seem to have little understanding of hockey at times. Montreal - Never liked them, so much media coverage even when they're an average team. St. Louis running the team has me moving them down the hate list to #2. Toronto - Again, don't like hearing about them so much through the media, although it is fun to watch their defensively challenged team. LA - Fast stingy team, probably don't like them from going back to Dougherty/Tkahuck run ins. Arizona - Need to move that team...

Great replies (except for Sharpie - he took the easy route ). A few common themes and some interesting choices as well. I had to edit my original post. I was wrong. Spoke to a buddy at work today and we were talking hockey and he reminded me my boy Stevie Y was in fact NOT the GM of the Lightning the year they LTIRed Kucherov till playoffs and won the cup, so he never was a cheater haha, yay. He just built an awesome team there, then left. Anyways, good stuff guys.
