It’s weird but the only way I get an email is with no access to an email address. Are people that paranoid? Should I be worried that I posted mine publicly? Whatever, doesn’t matter. I don’t care about getting people’s email address cause those that I do I just delete. It’s just weird that people are afraid. I have mine on advertising material so I’m like who gives a crap.

Sharptooth that was a bold move to put your e-mail address out there and I respect you for it. Many people would not have done it but you did because you wanted to help. My teacup is raised to you. I understand some people not feeling as brave because there can be a bad element found online from time to time, most of the time in certain other areas. Let's just hope we don't see any here. P.S. You sure are scary Happy!

I was always just an observer on the old omb, but sure missed it when it was gone so i decided to join..Original old Oiler fan from when they first entered the league. From BC..not too many of us where i live..

I'm afraid this may not work out as good as we hoped. Oh well. It was worth the try. To bad anyway. Maybe there are glitches but I don't have time for quarantines. By all!

It's an implementation of the same 5 post rule for noobs that we had in the OMB that was meant to weed out spammers who weren't actually here for the hockey talk. Unfortunately, the feature won't remember your lengthy history on the ol' boards until we get around to approving your first five posts. Everyone's having to come here with a fresh slate, and that's an unfortunate side effect.

On the flip side, it also means a LOT of work for us mods as we approve the minimum number of posts for everyone as part of the launch. Everyone has to pay a little to get the thing off the ground.  |

LOL The quarantine rule was not put into effect until yesterday. unfortunately, this is our only option as far as post approval goes, there is nothing else. This software's quarantine plugin does not take into account any posts previously made by members before it was put into effect, thus every member here must go through the 5 post approval regardless of how many posts they previously had. Again, it's unfortunate but it's our only choice, and we absolutely have to have it to ward off spammers before they get a chance to post to this forum. The Admin initially had it set at 10 posts, but after moderators discussed it, we came to an agreement that 5 posts would be enough.

The glitch might be the count started as soon we implemented the feature, without taking into account the # of posts prior to bringing it in. It's not the only feature that Admin is working on by the way.
