We are winning games without GDT's lol. Koss was unreal in the 1st, we should have been out of it early.
Nuge with his 1st Yammo another one McLeod with his 1st!
Really hope McLeod continues as our 3C spot is a desperate need to become a top team. He's improving!
Best news is that the Lames do not leapfrog us thanks to the win, still tops in the division.

There was like 7 five alarm shots for sure and he saved all but one. Nuge was unreal Loved the Mcleod interview. Grow your game kid (like Bouch with growing pains), we badly need you at that 3C spot. Sheahan was on waivers but he's a 4C also on a really good team so hard to justify over Ryan or Shore (who is a better winger). The 3C spot is vital, hope he can grab it. Very disappointed in Perlini, but have a feeling he needs to play with good players to succeed. We look like the 80's Oilers right now scoring 4.7 goals per game on avg. Defense needs to be much better but for now we are outscoring our opposition

I think StL are a very good team, physical and normally not a team we match up well against, but we got some surprising clutch plays from guys other than McDrai. Kosk should have been first star despite giving up 4 goals, Yam with the winner about 5 mins after i said its time to move on from him :-), and I think i said the same about mcLeod in 1st period as well (something like he's just not ready for the NHL yet). So i was 2-2 at picking out guys for doing nothing, that suddenly did something! It's hard to imagine overlooking McD with a goal and an assist, but Drai with another 3pt night was again dominant and overshadowed him again and no doubt wins the Hart if they gave it out now. It's hard to complain with 11-3 but i agree with everyone here who says are D-game is still lacking. It isn't any worse than last year but I'm not sure its any better either? If we still have to use russell from time to time, that defines we need to improve imo.Bouchard is looking very good, albeit not as physical as we need him to be (hopefully that will come with maturity). in fact, ironically I'd say despite giving praise to Yam, Mcleod and kosk our biggest needs our replacing those guys with better. We need a big mean D to help Nurse dislodge guys from the front of net or make forwards scared to go into corners for puck retrieval and we still need a 3rd C, top 6 winger and Goalie. The good thing is, i believe all can be had at deadline by trading Yam, picks and other non-core pieces. Getting it all under cap is the tricky part!

I caught the last half of last night's game, haven't been able to watch the first half yet. Seemed like a wild one, and I nearly pissed myself when Yam scored there at the end. Loving watching our team finding ways to win! Didn't like seeing seeing the Blues come back when we led 4-2 but they are a good team and I wasn't all that surprised. Yams goal was sweet butter! and NUGE! and Mcleod with nemero uno! Draisaitl is nearly unstoppable right now! And then there is Connor and the rest..., so much fun! #hardnottolovethisteam  |
