CONDORS 2022/23

This is kinda cool, with the Flames old farm team the Stockton Heat (soon to be re-named) moving to Calgary, the Condors will be in cowtown four times this season in Jan/Feb. Might come in handy if we need an emergency call-up at that time hehe. Kidding, but cool they'll be coming to AB from now on.

I actually will try to go to a few games if possible.

Should have a decent team up front with Bourgault (pumped for him), Holloway (if he's not with the big club), Tullio, Savoie, Lavoie, Benson, Malone... Some firepower in there! I think I read Petrov stays in the OHL another season but not sure on that. Shaefer... also not sure if he stays in the dub or goes to the farm? 

Even the D looks really solid but lacking. I see only 5 names on Capfriendly lol, that's not enough! Real good 5 though in Kesselring, Kemp, Samorukov, Desharnais (I believe Woody is high on this kid), and Nemo. EDIT) Koko is still on the payroll and will likely be on the farm so that gives them 6, still not enough.

In net Pickard will split time with either Fanti or Rodrigue. One of them will be ECHL bound, thinking the latter, could be wrong.

Just an FYI, I said the team would be in Calgary 4 times but upon further review I stand corrected. Though they will play 4 games in Calgary, they are only making the trip twice. Those games are Jan 8th, 10th and Feb 2nd, 3rd.

Condors are gonna have a good team again this year!

I spoke of the Condors yesterday and lo and behold lowetide blogged about them this morning, as well as other good stuff. Looks like they have plenty of players, just none of the new guys are on capfriendly. Anyways here is the link:

He has Samorukov as our 7th defenseman on the big club. I'm thinking Nemo is closer.
