Sportsnet has been reporting that new NHLPA head Walsh is pushing for the NHL to return to the Olympics in 2026. That would be awesome! McDavid, McKinnon and Bedard would lead a stacked Canadian team. The Americans would have another strong team, it would be a great battle. It would be the Winter Olympics, so another 2 and a half years wait, but it's nice to see the NHLPA pushing for it. It's been too long!

Almost criminal that we havent got to see McD in an olympics, but NHL doesn't care what fans or players think! if it doesnt generate Mangiapane tons of money, theyre not interested. Milan isnt exactly an ideal spot to showcase NHL either. Although it is in Europe, Italy isnt exactly a hotbed of Hockey, so I wont be shocked if they dont go, especially as they're trying to drum up greater interest in their own "showcase hockey world summit." Another example of Myopic American thinking, ie if we are not "the centre piece", then it doesnt exist
