Just play hockey OR PLAY HOCKEY WITH PASSION. I'm not seeing the latter with the entire team right now. The leaders have to inject that ingredient. They need something to get them off they're butts. I've been a Tipp fan but maybe ............!!!!!!!!!! Agreed P. Need 29-97-25 to go out and impose our game in them. Just doesn't seem to be their style. Hyman seems to get it, so maybe the guys follow him? When a team plays with passion they will create power plays as the opposition will take penalties like hooking holding tripping etc. How many power plays have the Oilers had recently? Drai looks like he has a fridge on his back and the opposition are taking liberties on McD. Right now this team is in deep doodoo and unless they right the ship it'll be another long summer for us. What we need now is some games against the Flameouts to get the passion and pride going.

The oilers don’t get power plays because we started off so hot and ran at >50% that the refs in conjunction with the nhl GMO decided it was unfair to give us pp as it constituted giving us a 2-3 goal lead. Unfortunately, the rule is still in affect even though our pp has cooled off to near normal levels. If you don’t believe this, look around the games tonight and see how many penalties are being called? Do you see any team with no power plays??? I don’t. Tipps last act as coach should be to throw the refs under a semi, and Katz should then give him a hefty severance package for helping the long term health of the team

It would help if we got some calls and PP time but to be a good team 5-5 is key. Yes it was the 3rd game in 4 days but we were out chanced on grade A opportunities 17-9.
We gave up 17 the game before that and 18 the game before that.
I find our bottom 6 is playing better. Why are D pinching when they shouldn't. Nurse 20 seconds into the game against Jersey... for a 2-1. Koeek later on. It's not Barrie making these bad pinches lately he's been doing better.
Our forwards (and i was watching specifically for this) assume the puck will get out of the zone several times, turn to offense then we will get burnt time and time again as the forwards switch to offence and "jump the gun". All of this has to change. During our long winless streak we were out chancing teams and not getting the results. Now we are being out chanced so any coach or player cannot say they are playing better. It would be nice to get an extra save but not going to blame Smith or Koss for the past 3 losses. We can't be giving up 17-18 grade A chances.

I completely agree THROW THESE BUMS UNDER THE BUS or it ain't gonna change.

Oppositions arm is under Connors arm. Not saying lots are not called but this is a bad example

Well folks, with the other two games scheduled tonight being postponed we are the only game. All eyes on us tonight. Up against a Ranger team who since returning from the Xmas break barely lost to the high flying Panthers before defeating the cup champ Bolts in both their home n home series games this past Fri/Sun. Be afraid. Though NY is on the 2nd of a back-to-back tonight, I don't like our chances. That said... Road team finds a way to win 3-2! Enjoy the game folks, little worried with cases popping up on teams out East our games against TO and Sens may get PPD and if that happens along with our current PPD upcoming games vs NYI and Minny we may not see our team play again till mid-month. Here's hoping that doesn't happen. GOG!!

It's their 4th game in 6 days. Zibinejad has 6 goals in his last 5 games, including a hatty yesterday.
I hope our guys are pissed off and embarrassed at their last performances.
I really don't know how this is going to go. 7-6 for the good guys?

Good thing McDavid missed the morning skate to “rest up and save his energy”, says coach. Which is good, because “coach” will milk him for 30 mins again tonight. Hopefully the team shows up tonight or it’s gon’ be uuuugly.

And over 23:12 only twice the last 10 games.

He will have plenty time to rest with games being postponed

I'm debating whether to watch this mess tonight, or not. The last two games felt an awful lot like getting kicked in the grapes.

I 'm gonna call Bettman and see if I can be a referee seen as how I can't see properly LOL

I actually saw improvement in some areas and am not ready to trade 29 or 97.
The biggest takeaway was the commentator talking about all the negativity he heard from the oil during the game (he was between the two benches). Lots of cursing and stick breaking was what I think he said. This has to be fixed. Getting pissed off is fine so long as it translates to passion, but playing in a negative environment especially in Edmonton is a hole that’s hard to get out of. A little winning wouldn’t hurt, but I think this needs to be worked on by the coaches and leadership, win or lose. You feel good, you play better.

Lots of squeekers are going in, deflections, double deflections, off our own skate. All teams are just blocking shots whether they mean too or not. Trouba tipped our shot for instance tonight and it hit the post. Now for the penalties, may as well bite my tongue. Let's tackle McD and push Pulj's head into the ice for added measure, no call... In the refs defense we are playing perimeter hockey and look slow at times so hard to draw more calls that way.

Well we certainly are not blocking shots. 3 blocked shots last night compared to 22 for the Rangers. That speaks volumes about this teams commitment to defense. I can't even imagine how you don't just accidentally get hit by more than three shots if you are actually in the right places defensively.

I really don’t know what games Tipp is watching saying we played good. He is hallucinating! We have played absolutely brutal. Zero physicality, passion, defense, determination etc.
