The defenseman prospects are very important going forward. Top 2 ratings being defenseman looks good for the team, probably be another 2 or 3 years.

Very excited about this nugget, and 3 out of top 4 prospects are dmen. Bloody thrilling!  4. Dmitri Samorukov. He used to be inconsistent but he’s become the model of consistency for CSKA in Moscow this year, stopping the attack, winning the puck, moving the puck, and doing so repeatedly. That new dependability is a huge strength and will go a long way in terms of Samorukov’s NHL aspirations. Thanks for posting that article SD. |

The Oilers didn't have many picks this last draft, but it seems they made the most of the picks they did get. The Oilers site is showing Savoie was voted as player of the month in Dec. in their section "Future watch". I'm looking forward to watching a couple more of our prospects today. I'm getting excited that it won't be long before we have more NHL games coming. The Oilers camp will be interesting as information trickles in about the state of our 2021 team.
