That Broberg highlite is wild. Beautiful skater. And I'm glad to learn more about the Russian goalie. Hopefully he keeps coming along, and wants to be in NA. The only down side of the article was seeing 'Robbie Schremp' in the bit about Lavoie

The only down side of the article was seeing 'Robbie Schremp' in the bit about Lavoie Konovalov isn't flashy but his positioning is very good. At least from the highlights I've watched from last season. He's a bit older, and been playing in the KHL for 3 seasons. Solid numbers since the start so far. His only downside is his size, 5'11" 196lbs. Quite small for a goalie in the NHL.

I have to wonder with new management and coaching staff what the chances are of talking him into a return would be.

I have to wonder with new management and coaching staff what the chances are of talking him into a return would be. Could that even work? The fans would burn him for every mistake. I just don't see him getting any mercy at all and the expectations would be very high right off the hop.

I just don't see him getting any mercy at all and the expectations would be very high right off the hop. I, for one, would love him to have a change of heart. His potential skill set is exactly what this team needs, if his potential can become reality. I don't care one bit about someone's past. If they commit to changing and actually change, that's good enough for me. Everyone in life makes mistakes, and everyone in life deserves a chance at redemption.

I watched a couple of the first Champions League games, and I check out his highlites when I think of it. You have to watch some of it. It's not similar at all to NHL hockey. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see it translating at all. Totally different game. Part of the water that's gone under the bridge is some of our current players asking to not play with JP. I don't see that getting patched up. Hopefully he keeps playing well, and we can get something back, and we can all move on.

Bob Stauffer @bob_Stauffer A QMJHL source has told me that the Oilers might have something with 2019, 2nd round pick Raphael Lavoie. After back-to-back 30 goal seasons, he has 15-20-35 in 23GP, with 145 SOG. The 6'4" RW had a strong showing in 2 GP for the "Q" vs Russia. Helped his cause for WJC

Exciting stuff. Hope they both make it so we can see them compete at the WJC

I freaking love this kid. Thought he did enough last season to stay with the big club. Can't wait to see him back up.

He'll be more than just a warm body if he gets the chance.

Currie can score, kinda concerning the next highest Condors only have 9 goals compared to his 18, he's having another fine season in the Bake along with Benson and Bouchard. And though his #s aren't quite as impressive I've heard McLeod has been impressive as well. Skinner too, his #s were poor to start the season but he's been on fire the past ten games or so and has won the net. Overseas JP continues a point per game pace so that's gotta bode well for his value, certainly can't hurt. And looky looky C2G's boy Sleppy has 28pts in 43gp, not too shabby, go Sleppy Go lol. Possibly the most impressive prospect season thus far has been from the Q where Lavoie continues to light it up since being traded to Chicoutimi, 37gp-24g 31a-55pts. Looking forward to seeing him in the AHL next year.

I'm not sure which Condors will get call ups but we know if they need someone with heart and character Currie has proven himself in those categories. Nice to hear they are winning a few more games lately also.
