I won't like being without Kane. Hockey is to be played tough and guys like Tockett still coach that way. Are we to expect 39 year old Perry to stick up for McDrai and the light weights? Haha, that made me laugh. As much as I respect Nuge for his ability to be a "Swiss Army Knife" and acknowledge that he can take care of himself when it comes to physical play and the occasional fight, I don't believe he's the right fit to shoulder Kane's role, lol. Looking down the road with the Kane situation, best case scenario would be to put him on LTIR at the start of the season and ride that for most of the season. It's quite doubtful that we'd be able to trade an injured player so LTIR is the best option that I can see. The perfect LTIR scenario would have Kane have surgery at the start of the season and it quite conceivable that he could have setbacks that push his return date back. In this scenario he starts serious training in the shadows the nearer his return is. Near the end of the season a miraculous recovery takes place where a healthy and rested #91 Evander Kane makes his come back feeling rejuvenated and hungry to return. We hear it from all the trolls around the league about how we're abusing LTIR and get ready to head into the playoffs with Kane getting in a handful of games in the regular season. With our luck the league will change the rules just as we go to use LTIR.

Obviously a bit of a salary dump but Savoie looks to have a higher ceiling than McLeod although very small at 5-9, 170lbs but only 20yrs old? Dunno anything else about him except he’s signed for $950 with cap hit of 875k?

Nice. I wish Ryan well moving forward. Good deal for both clubs I think. We needed to move salary and when I look at our roster, RM always looked like a target, he is gone now. Tullio will mostly cover the cost to re-sign Lavoie if they choose. Another Savoie eh, funny. Thx for the link doc.

I believe the new Savoie is the brother of our Savoie whom we did not qualify a week or so ago. Will have to look up the stats, think he was a top 10 pick in 2022.
