The question was is anyone else stoaked, am I not allowed to say I'm not stoaked. Sorry star wars is amazeballs I can't wait to watch. 3po is the bomb. Never said that. You could have said “I’m not. Not a fan” instead of “Star Wars Sucks” in a thread where you can clearly see that some big Star Wars fans are in. It would be like a Flames fan coming here to our message board and saying “The Oilers Suck”. We’d all get pissed and call him out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I don't let idiots like that get under my skin, it's just entertainment. Some would say mindless entertainment, but who cares? Entertainment is just that, "mindless" or not it's an escape plain and simple just like watching sports. Watching sports to some people is mindless entertainment, but that doesn't bother me. I'm proud to say I'm an Oiler fan. Watching movies is a form of entertainment and some people pick different categories that they prefer such as comedy, action, thriller, paranormal, animated and kid's movies. Most people like some of the categories, but it is all only entertainment. Television has mindless entertainment down to a science. I'm sure that out of all of the different types of entertainment "Disco idiot" has his own favorite form that if you made fun of it he would probably throw a tantrum.

So I'm an idiot cause I don't like one of the most over hyped over rated series. And it's not like I said anything about you guys not being able to enjoy it just cause I could care less about them. And no I could care less if you guys didn't like Kubrick films or Mel Brooks. I agree everyone has different tastes. Some people even like Nikleback, granted I would probably slag a guy in a Nikleback shirt.

The reason I called you an idiot is because that's about equal to the respect that you have earned while posting on this site. If you don't like being called an idiot I suggest you stop acting like one. You posted in this section clearly looking for a response, now you have one. I'm not sure what you were expecting but "I calls 'em as I see's 'em".

The only reason why someone would come on this thread and blatantly say "Star Wars Sucks" after clear Star Wars fans were having a debate, is to look for a response. I don't care if dude likes Star Wars or not. What I don't like are trolls posting clearly looking to get under the skin of some people.

Another good story starts:
A LONG LONG TIME AGO IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY.....
Just my opinion, "May the Schwartz be with you!".

I know it will never happen under Disney's banner, but I always thought that a non-kids-friendly version of a Star Wars movie has the potential to be tremendous. Imagine they drop the cutesy merchandise-pandering cartoonish characters and comic book dialogue and the like and focus on the darker aspects of the franchise; brutal war on a galactic scale, despots vying for power, an order of warriors who possess incredible mental powers and who wield deadly light weapons that can cut anything, including your Fogolin2, in half with the mere flick of the wrist. And that's just the 'good' order...
Kind of like what they did with the James Bond franchise with 'Casino Royale'; out was the smirking devolved caricature delivering painfully sad one-liners each and every time he vanquishes any moronic villain, and in is a serious and realistic version of what the character really is: a well-trained, deadly, remorseless killing machine.

I believe Disney intends to explore the Star Wars universe quite extensively so you will probably get your wish at some point. They have many stand alone movies planned that will cover a lot of subjects. The Mandalorian may be just what you're looking for and that is coming out soon. Bobba Fett is a well trained, deadly, remorseless killing machine so there you go. I'm intrigued by your wish to cut Foggy in half with a lightsaber. I like Fog, but I must admit there may have been a time or two when I'd have liked to see how he handled a lightsaber tossed his way in the on position. I have to admit your perspectives make me laugh at how you see certain topics. "There's always one in the crowd", now maybe there's two.

I'm a DIS shareholder and I need to retire someday, so keep up the good work!!

Hopefully taking Star Wars to a 30 minute TV series format will step it up a few notches. It'll never reach the towering heights of awesomeness like Ash vs. Evil Dead or anything of course, but could still be surprising... As for cutting Fogolin2 in half, that's a stand alone right there! Fogs vs. Darth Maul!

We don't like the rush of opening night so we always get our tickets for 2 or 3 days after opening night and things have calmed down a lot by then. It was very easy to get good seats when we tried. I can't wait! Please no spoiler alerts, just joking because I won't read anything about it until I see the movie. I've already read the leaks about her being Palpatine's granddaughter. There is already a lot of negative press about the writing of the movie but I don't get caught up in that. Like I said earlier, it's fiction. We'll never all be happy about the way any story is written so just enjoy it for the escape from reality that it is.

So even if it is busy, it doesn't feel crowded. What I read was, if you hated or was unhappy with The Last Jedi then you'll be pleasantly surprised with this one. Personally, I love all the films. So, I'm sure I'll be happy leaving this one as well. Her being Palpatine's Granddaughter came from a marketing campaign from Burger King Germany. Disney wouldn't let a marketing campaign let a big detail like that slip. So, I'm guessing that it's all misdirection. Unless someone leaked it after the world premiere Monday night.

Supposedly there was a viewing for a terminally ill patient last month so maybe it came out after that. I've heard of some rewrites and reshooting scenes so really nothing much surprises me at this point. Like I said, I'm just going to go and enjoy the movie as it is. May the force be with you! Or the "Schwartz", the Schwartz could be with you too.

I've got a bad feeling about this...
Just checked IMDB, I won't mention any spoilers regarding what is apparently regarded as the plot, but so far, on a site that attracts many true Star Wars fans, where fanboy nerds usually upvote any sort of substandard franchise offering, the new movie is currently only sporting a 6.8 out of 10 rating.
Here's some random fan review titles just from the first page:
"Star Wars is finally dead."
"Absolute colossal failure"
"Makes the Game of Thrones ending look like Citizen Kane"
"Like being stabbed in the brain"
Apparently the visuals, SFX and soundtrack is great as usual, but the rest is, well, I think you get my point.
Not trying to irritate or bring you guys down, it's more a head's up, as I was thinking of going to see this movie as well but now, I think I'll follow Mark Hamill's advice and 'wait till it comes to cable'.

I remember when The Dark Knight first came out, it had like a 20-30% on rotten tomatoes, then skyrocketed after. And most of the these "fans" saying it's horrible are also the same fans who said The Force Awakens was garbage. Which it wasn't. Sure it was just a copy of A New Hope, but it was far from garbage. I'm going to see it in a couple hours, so I'll let people in this thread know if it's actually garbage or not.
