looks pretty much like what the full starting lineup for game 1 will be, especially if smith needs to take care of a few things. Will be interesting to see what Flames throw up against it and how they handle this line up! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thought the same thing. Interested to see what the 'real' lineup looks like and what the Lames put out there

Looks like we'll see a whole lot of the Nix over the next week. Pre-season game vs them tonight, another on Saturday, then our home opener on Weds. Ol Tipps has a few bottom 6 decisions to make over the next few days and away we go. Yams n Kass need to step it up and I'm hoping they are just saving it for the real season. I hope to hear their names more over these last couple pre-season games. We need them both. Perlini has earned a spot imo, we need bottom six production and it looks like he can bring that, perhaps more. Still some players battling for position and just to make the starting line-up. Team is looking good overall though afaic. GOG!

IMO an unfortunate bit of scheduling, Van has a better chance of beating us in reg season when they get to practice for 2 games prior. I wouldnt mind tipp tinkering with lines a bit in the next 2 games just to throw the nucks a curve ball

It's good that Tipp has mixed things up a bit to maybe avoid getting stale with these ex games coming to an end. But I believe there's more to it than that. Looking at the bottom two lines and include Turris as well. Of the 5 players Benson, Mcleod, Sceviour and Kassian plus Turris, there is but maybe 3 openings in the Oilers lineup to start the season. Perlini is on the team but these 5 players had best show their stuff tonight otherwise pop out the sunblock for southern California.

Game on! Too bad it's knucklehead commentary at an Oiler home game. At least it's hockey 🏒 🍻

apparently he was fine even in the dressing room telling jokes and stuff. Derek Ryan commented that the two of them have gotten to be good friends in his short time here which is great to hear. All in all it looks like he will be no worse for the wear.

I saw an interesting comment from a fan in another thread that suggested that the "old" Kass used to fight because he was "angry at the world". but now that he's found peace, has a family and things are going well personally, he doesn't have the same anger and hence, he's not the same fighter anymore and doesn't even value fighting as part of his game? I thought it was a interesting take and kinda made sense, not that I've ever met Kass though, so only pure speculation?

I'm definitely not being critical of McD, believe me? But in last nights game he appeared as though he was a bit disinterested, probably wanting these exhibition games to end and let's get on with the season. Not too many times you see him miss passes or miss making plays. Once again not a criticism only an observation. So let's get on with it!!

He had some good chances, controlled the PP, had some physical play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He jumped that one guy for elbowing Drai, first time I’ve seen him do that so I’d say he was engaged enough. He had an “almost” gordie Howe hat trick😂

He was there a few times but a few times he wasn’t and could have been with his speed. I’m chalking it up to pre-season, but I sure hope, based on his off-season comments, he steps that up in the regular season.

I'll bet the opening game of the season he'll light it up and that snivelling little weasel Hughes is gonna get a lesson. They're all yakking about how great he was at checking McD and because of him McD was not effective as usual. Make sure your jock is on tight Hughes next Thursday.

I like Yam, but ... I'm having trouble seeing it even after that shorty.
It wasn't so long ago that Perlini was a 12th overall pick. And now the training camp he's having.
Is it an option to put Hyman over to RW, bring Perlini into the top 6, and find a taker for Yam?

Is it an option to put Hyman over to RW, bring Perlini into the top 6, and find a taker for Yam? If Pearls can find success and move up the lineup, I’m all for moving Yamo to upgrade elsewhere. But, I also see Bourgault potentially taking Yamo’s spot. So, I think that Yamo will be moved regardless. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
